Taapsee Pannu starrer Doobara is remake of an European thriller Mirage and directed by Anurag Kashyap.
The film never looked to open with that niche promo and had no buzz prior to release despite actress and director tried every trick from paparazzi controversy to unnecessary tongue in cheek interviews.
Dobaaraa opened in limited screens in around 275-300 cinemas and still managed only less than 10% opening.
This Taapsee starrer will struggle throughout the day as reviews can’t save this film overnight unless evening shows jump big time which hadn’t happened in post pandemic times.
As per early estimates, Doobara might struggle to cross 45-50 lacs nett on day one which is very poor number.
It might remain lower than Marathi films Daagdi Chawl 2 and Takatak 2 today which pretty much sums up the scenario.
