The production company Excel Entertainment, run by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, revealed on Thursday that they will be working with Diamond Toons to create a unique comic series for their next motion picture Phone Bhoot. The supernatural comedy, directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Ravi Shankaran and Jasvinder Singh Bath, centres on two naive ghostbusters played by Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan who team up with a ghost (Katrina Kaif) to defeat an equally comical bad guy (Jackie Shroff).
As a result of the collaboration, Diamond Toons will release a comic in which three important Phone Bhoot characters will appear as part of Chacha Chaudhary’s storyline as he embarks on a brand-new journey with his sidekick Sabu.
Manish Verma, Director of Diamond Toons, commented on the publication of the cartoon in a statement, “We are delighted to partner with Excel Entertainment for this exclusive edition of ‘Chacha Chaudhary and Phone Bhoot’. Chacha Chaudhary, being an all-rounder, relevantly connects to almost all aspects of our lives. With fantastic satire and intelligence along with the characters of the movie ‘Phone Bhoot’, will help in making a strong connection with his massive fan following be it 8 or 80 years of age.”
The creators of the movie, Excel Entertainment, and Diamond Toons had previously worked together on the film “Fukrey Returns,” whose characters also appeared in an earlier “Chacha Chaudhary” comic. As a result of this collaboration, Diamond Toons will soon release a comic in which the characters will now be a part of the Chacha Chaudhary storyline as he embarks on a brand-new adventure with his sidekick Sabu.
While the plot’s specifics are yet undisclosed, the series promises to be lighthearted and engaging with equal parts fright and humour.
The movie “Phone Bhoot,” which will be helmed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Ravi Shankaran and Jasvinder Singh Bath, will be released on November 4, 2022.
