Pathaan To Tehran, Uzma, 100%—Variety Of Genres—But Which Will Be A Solo Hit?

John Abraham, 49, is well-known for movies like Dhoom, Rocky Handsome, Dishoom, Batla House, Dostana, Desi Boyz, Hera Pheri 3, Vicky Donor, Lakeer and others.

After John modelled for advertisement companies, he made debut in Jism, and then Dhoom came as a milestone for him. He has a National Film Award and received five Filmfare nominations. Now, as the new actors come up and take central roles, the question is on John’s prominence.

His upcoming film named Pathaan is set to release in 2023, which is full of drama and mystery and directed by Siddharth Anand. It consists of Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika as key lead roles.

Another film he will star in is 100%, directed by Sajid Khan. Other lead actors include Riteish Deshmukh, Nora Fatehi and Shehnaaz Gill. It is dubbed as story of “love, marriage, family and spies”

John has Uzma Ahmed as next line-up. Helmed by Shivam Nair, it’s a geopolitical thriller, keeping viewers fidgety, with nail-biting events. The film is based on Delhi girl Uzma Ahmed who fell in love with Tahir Ali, a Pakistani taxi  driver, during a Malaysia trip.

Directed by Arun Gopalan, Tehran is an upcoming film featuring John Abraham, Manushi Chillar. It states that it’s inspired from true events. The action and thriller film is set to be released on India’s Republic day, January 26, 2023.

Recently, on the occasion of Independence day, he announced his yet another film titled Tariq with a picture that showcases an oak leaf and a blue sky full of stars. Besides starring, he is co-producing it.

Since the atmosphere in the Bollywood movies now revolves from young actors to other experienced professionals, the Desi Boyz actor has been apparently showing a sluggish approach with his work. There is a cloud of uncertainty over him as there is less or nearly no room to talk about much of his films among moviegoers as it was almost a decade back. It needs to have a solo hit so that same energy can come back to watch his work.
