Haseen Dilruba, released in 2022, is a story of a woman, who has been claimed to slay her husband, tells a story about her marriage while probing police officers searching for clues to arrest her. Directed by Vinil Mathew and produced by Bhushan Kumar, the romantic thriller murder mystery now streams on Netflix.
The exclusive newsbreak on BoxOfficeWorldwide.com related to the film is that Jayprad Desai, well-known for ‘Kaun Praveen Tambe’, is set to direct Haseen Dilruba Part 2 starring Taapsee Pannu, Sunny Kaushal, Vikrant Massey.
Taapsee is quite active on Instagram and recently posted some stories too with other co-actors and members of the film. “The attempt to make ‘Haseen Dillruba’ was also to bring in the groovy pulp stories that we’ve always had as part of Hindi literature. The works of Surendra Mohan Pathak ji and Ved Prakash ji were brought into the conversation after the film released and that was a huge takeaway for me as the writer. We’ve grown up with Sydney Sheldon and James Hadley Chase but rarely do we hear people talking about pulp Hindi writers,” ETimes had quoted writer Kanika as saying.
Meanwhile, Taapsee Pannu was last spotted attending the reception ceremony of Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal. Sunny will next be seen in Janhvi Kapoor starrer ‘Mili, whereas Vikrant was last seen in ‘Forensic’.
