Who will play Dev in Ayan Mukerji’s trilogy has been one of the questions that has the entire country captivated since the premiere of Brahmastra Part One: Shiva. Dev has been portrayed as the major adversary in the fantasy adventure epic starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt who attempted to conquer the world with Brahmastra and is awoken in the film’s climax.
There has been a great deal of excitement around the casting of Dev, Shiva’s father, even though Ranbir, alias Shiva’s mother, was only briefly revealed in the movie to be Deepika Padukone. Initially, the names Ranveer Singh and Hrithik Roshan were mentioned, but now there are rumours that Kannada superstar Yash, who played Rocky Bhai in the KGF series, has been contacted for the part.
“Yash knows about the expectations of the audience and he doesn’t want to let them down, which is primarily the reason why he is taking his own time to lock the next project. The insider went on to say that the actor has been offered the role of Dev in Brahmastra 2, but that it is still only an offer and the actor has not yet given his approval. Additionally, there are rumours that Ranbir may play Dev, replicating his performance as the father-son combination in a dual role in Shamshera this year.
