Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji and featuring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in the key roles, has premiered, delivering a long-awaited conclusion to a story that has lasted for months. There have been numerous protests against the movie, including requests for a boycott. Many people were cheering for the movie while others wanted it to fail in response to Ranbir and Alia’s comments, which received equal amounts of criticism and praise.
Now, a Hollywood film critic Courtney Howard shared her review on social media. She writes for Variety and praised the film to some extent. She shared her review and wrote, “#Brahmastra / @BrahmastraFilm is a wildly entertaining jump start to a planned trilogy. Western cinematic influences readily comingle with pure Bollywood spectacle. @aliaa08 is luminous & #RanbirKapoor is charismatic. My review on @Variety”

Well, this did not go well with some of the boycott gang people and they started calling her out for praising the film because she was paid. However, Courtney gave a befitting reply to these dumb trolls and made fun of them. She wrote, “To all the dummies spamming my replies, yelling I was… checks notes… “paid” for this review, I’m gonna explain How It Works very slowly:
Film Critics are paid *by their outlet* whether the reviews are positive or negative. That’s it! There’s no conspiracy. THE END.”
