Security around Salman Khan has been stepped up as he receives Y-plus protection for the Bollywood superstar based on intelligence inputs from the federal and state governments. Along with Salman, Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher’s security has also been boosted. Salman has Y+ security whereas Akshay and Anupam just have X-category security. Akshay and Anupam will be protected by three security personnel. The performers themselves will pay for the cost of this extra security.
The news comes months after Salim Khan, Salman Khan’s father and a renowned screenplay writer, was threatened with death in a letter left on a bench at the Bandra Bandstand by an unnamed guy.
Later, Salim Khan contacted the police with the aid of his security guards, and a FIR was filed at the Bandra police station under section 506-II (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. Salim Khan and Salman Khan thereafter gave testimonies that were recorded by the police.
Salman Khan, a Bollywood actor, received a weapons licence from Mumbai Police in August after applying for one and claiming that thugs had threatened his life. Police increased the actor’s security after he allegedly received a murder threat from Lawrence Bishnoi and the Goldie Brar gang.
The 56-year-old actor’s most recent major motion picture was “Antim: The Final Truth,” in which he costarred with his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma. He is getting ready to shoot his upcoming movie, “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.”
In that, Salman Khan will star as well as an ensemble cast with Pooja Hegde as the main lady, is now getting ready for release. Following his appearance in Ram Setu, Akshay Kumar will appear in the remake of Soorarai Pottru.
