Helmed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam 2 stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Rajat Kapoor. It is said to be a remake of the 2021 Malayalam film of the same name and sequel to Drishyam. The mystery film is slated to release on November 18, 2022.
Drishyam was directed by Nishikant Kamat in 2015, but after his death in August 2020, Pathak took it for its sequel. Its shooting wrapped on June 21, 2022, in Hyderabad. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Krishan Kumar, the film will be distributed by Panorama studios.
Now, the first look of Ajay Devgn has been released from Drishyam 2, where he is standing in a green shirt looking with deep thoughts. Taking to Instagram on Saturday, he said, “Sawaal yeh nahin ki aapki aakhon ke saamne kya hai; sawaal yeh hai ki aap dekh kya rahe hain (The question is not what’s in front of your eyes; the question is what exactly are you looking for).”
One social media user commented, “Blockbuster Loading 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.” Another said, “Desperately waiting 🔥🔥.” If you don’t remember the previous story, Ajay made people realise, saying, “Vijay aur uske parivaar ki kahaani toh yaad hogi na aapko? Ki yaad dilaye (You must remember the story of Vijay and his family? Or should we remind you of it?”
Ajay shared Tabu’s poster on October 12 and said, “Kaha tha na, woh itni jaldi humara peecha nahi chodne wale…woh fir aayenge. #Drishyam2. Case Reopens On 18th November, 2022.” The trailer of the film is set to be released on October 17 in Goa.
