Chiranjeevi’s Godfather released in theatres today. The film is releasing in Telugu and Hindi and there’s an attraction for both audiences. Yes, we’re talking about Salman Khan’s cameo, which was expected to help the film in the Hindi belt.
The flick is riding on a budget of 90 crores and Chiranjeevi is said to have charged 50% of the budget as his salary. It is a surprising amount as the actor is struggling to taste box office success. His last box office success was Khaidi No. 150 which had come in 2017, he is now looking for a bounce back with Godfather.
It has occupied over 1700 theatres worldwide out of which, 715 theatres in the two Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, followed by 540 theatres Rest of India and 450+ theatres in the overseas market.

Film released in Hindi to mixed reviews and mixed word of mouth. Film was expected to open around 4 cr nett plus but film opened to shockingly poor numbers. It will struggle to collect 1-1.25 cr nett on day one which is pathetic considering towering presence of Salman Khan along with Chiranjeevi.
It needs big turn around from evening onwards for any kind of hope at box office.
Following are the day one estimates at box office :
Telugu
12 cr (except fixed hires)
Hindi
1.10 cr
