Directed by Anubhuti Kashyap, this film is a campus comedy-drama where the main protagonists will be seen playing doctors. The film is written by Sumit Saxena, Vishal Wagh, and Saurabh. Doctor G starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakul Preet Singh finally has a release date. The film will arrive in theaters on October 14, 2022, as per reports. The makers will make the final call soon before officially making the announcement. 11 days later, Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu and Ajay Devgn’s Thank God arrive in theaters. Interestingly, Thank God will be the second release for Rakul Preet Singh in the same month after Doctor G.
Talking of Doctor G, it also features Shefali Shah and Sheeba Chaddha in key roles. Interestingly, both Shefali and Rakul play the role of doctor in the film. The film was initially slated to release in June 2022 but was eventually delayed due to the pandemic. The trailer and other assets of the film will start rolling around September 20.
As India celebrates Doctor’s Day 2022, Ayushmann Khurrana took to Instagram to mark the special day. The actor, who will soon be seen playing a medical professional in his next film Doctor G, penned a sweet note along with Junglee Pictures. That’s not all, Ayushmann also dropped a new still from Doctor G. In the photo, the actor can be seen donning his medical professional look and smiles adorably while flashing the peace sign.
In the post, Ayushmann also gave a sneak peek about his character. He revealed that he will be playing a gynecologist. The caption for the Doctor’s Day wish read, “G se Gynecologist, G se Gupta, That’s our #DoctorG. Doctor Uday Gupta aka #DoctorG and team ki taraf se wishing all the G se Genius doctors a #HappyDoctorsDay. #doctors #doctorsday #doctor #doctorsday2022 #happydoctorsday.”
The film has a lot of expectations and the makers are hoping to get a big hit in pan-Indian viewers, Ayushmann was most recently seen in Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui and Anek which tanked at the box office. The film Doctor G and An Action Hero in the pipeline. Directed by Anirudh Iyer, An Action Hero will also feature Jaideep Ahlawat in a pivotal role. The film is backed by Bhushan Kumar-led T-Series and filmmaker Aanand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions. It is slated to release on the 2 December, 2022. The makers have worked hard over a period of time on a very different genre to see the best audience reactions and the satisfaction will be seen on their faces after the release.
