Helmed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam 2 stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Rajat Kapoor. It is said to be a remake of the 2021 Malayalam film of the same name and sequel to Drishyam. The mystery film is slated to release on November 18, 2022.
Drishyam was directed by Nishikant Kamat in 2015, but after his death in August 2020, Pathak took it for its sequel. Its shooting wrapped on June 21, 2022, in Hyderabad. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Krishan Kumar, the film will be distributed by Panorama studios.
We bring you the exclusive update from the film that Drishyam 2 will be released by Goldmines Telefilms on November 1. Manish Shah, who specialises in purchasing and dubbing prominent regional films in Hindi, is expected to release the Hindi dubbing of the South version, making the Hindi collection of the film affected at the box-office.
The 2015 release Drishyam was the Hindi remake of Malayalam film starring Mohanlal. The film was adapted in Hindi by late director Nishikant Kamat. The sequel of the film, also the Hindi adaptation of the Malayalam film, is directed by Abhishek Pathak. Ahead of the release, Pathak and team could intervene and make Goldmines stop its release.
