Director Nikhil Dwivedi Applauds PM Modi But Raises Concern For Shah Rukh, Salman, Aamir With Him. Find Out Inside!

Pakistan has been enduring flood and deluge since June 2022 in the provinces of Khyber PakhtunKhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, including Balochistan and Sindh, causing over 1000 fatalities.

On August 29, PM Modi stated, “Saddened to see the devastation caused by the floods in Pakistan. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, the injured and all those affected by this natural calamity and hope for an early restoration of normalcy.”

To which the director Nikhil Dwivedi replied, “Sir this is a good tweet. Very Statesman like. Pakistan is an enemy state but in such times true leaders rise even above bitter enemity. Sir there shud be an environment where an #AamirKhan, #SalmanKhan, #ShahRukhKhan #SaifAliKhan or any other can also make the same tweet freely.”

When it comes to Dwivedi’s work, he has produced Dabangg 3 and Veere Di Wedding, and acted in Raavan, My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves, Shor In The City and others. He played the role of a businessman named KS Tyagi in the series Scam 199.

Instances of Boycotting Khans when they speak out

In August 2020, on his visit to Turkey, Aamir Khan met the country’s first lady Emine Erdogan. At that time, he was wrapping Lal Singh Chaddha’s shoot too. He was viciously trolled on social media for it because of the recent relations between India and Turkey and its stand on different issues. In 2015, Khan’s wife had spoken out on increasing intolerance in India and pointed out to leave the country as per reports. Both Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao have been vocal on socio-political issues.

Another instance is when actor Shah Rukh Khan was criticised for applauding Pakistan actress Mahira Khan, their cricketers. Boycott trends grew when he spoke out his thoughts. It’s apparent how Khans have been called to go to Pakistan or anti-national when they tweet or state their opinions.
