As we all know, Shah Rukh Khan is playing a double role in his upcoming film Jawan, which is all set to release in cinemas on June 2, 2023. In this action-packed drama, also starring Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra and Sunil Grover, Deepika Padukone will make a brief cameo. In the film, Deepika Padukone is starring opposite Shah Rukh’s senior character. SRK will be taking revenge for Deepika’s death in the film. As we revealed earlier, the sequence will remind fans of Om Shanti Om which marked the debut of Deepika opposite King Khan where their characters went through a similar situation.
The main antagonist of the movie is the South star Vijay Sethupathi, who is after Deepika and tries to ruin her life. Deepika eventually passes away, and Shah Rukh then seeks revenge from him. Sethupathi will portray a classic, mainstream villain. The second week of August saw the start of the movie’s filming, and right now the crew is filming the scene in which Vijay Sethupati’s character comes face to face against Deepika and the ultimate twist happens. In Chennai, this sequence will be filmed over the course of the next three to five days.
Jawan, billed as a Pan-Indian spectacle with a massive budget of about 200 crores, is a commercial action movie with a narrative that transcends language and location. The movie should be finished by the end of November or the beginning of December and released on June 2nd, 2023, in theaters everywhere.
The film is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and helmed by Atlee Kumar, making his Hindi debut. The production includes a cast of Pan-Indian actors, including Nayanthara, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, and Yogi Babu in key roles, as well as Deepika Padukone in a special cameo.
