Chup: Revenge of the Artist is helmed by R Balki starring Dulqueer Salmaan, Sunny Deol, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Pooja Bhatt, Abhijit Sinha. The film’s producers include Anil Naidu, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Dr. Jayantilal Gada (PEN Studios) and Gauri Shinde.
The free audience screening will be held today in 10 cities across the country as per reports. All tickets were booked within 10 minutes of its opening considering craze around it. The film is slated to release on September 23, 2022.
“What I thought was that when you want to show people a film, or any product for that matter, like a chair, you display your product. I felt people can just watch the film and have their opinion. Finally, a film is made for the audience. We usually show it to everybody else first and then the audience, this time it will be them first and then the critics and the industry. We invite so many guests for our first screening, so why not the audience,” director Balki stated.
The screening for Chup will be done for audience prior to critics as most critics start creating misleading picture around it with their almost paid ratings to malign the urge to watch. It will be the audience this time, who get the special opportunity to see it. It will be interesting to know the audience moment of review first, sharing the word of mouth for it.
We wish that this trend continues as power will be with audience rather than critics.
