Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra directed by Ayan Mukerji is turning out to be a spectacle that audiences are willing to experience on the big screen. According to sample data, the IMAX version of Brahmastra is selling tickets faster than hot cupcakes. The film has already sold 75% of the tickets at the IMAX properties in India and it is headed to clock an advance sale of over 85% per cent for the opening day alone.
The movie will become the first Hindi film to collect Rs. 1 crore or more from IMAX alone in India and this will be a record of sorts.
In fact, there is a heavy chance of Brahmastra collecting Rs. 1 crore NETT from IMAX properties with the advance sales alone. As of Tuesday night, Brahmastra has sold 20,000 tickets in IMAX properties of India, clocking an occupancy of 70 per cent. The IMAX version has collected Rs. 82 lakh nett so far, and by end of Thursday, we are anticipating 80 per cent of the total tickets of IMAX to be sold out in advance with a nett total of Rs. 1.05 crore.
