Big B’s Top Blockbusters To Be Shown In Special Film Festival Across India On These Dates. Details Inside!


Big B, an icon in himself and born on October 11th, 1942, has dominated Indian cinema for more than 50 years. He has contributed to more than 200 films so far. The baritone-voiced, tall and lean performer made his stage debut in 1969 with “Saat Hindustani.” Despite having made an impression on movie lovers, it took him four years to establish himself in the field.

He has created a legacy of legendary performances over the years in a variety of roles, whether they were in comedy or action roles. Not only a superb actor, the iconic performer is also a talented vocalist who drives cinema buffs wild. Big B enjoys a big global and cross-generational following.

The 80th birthday of Amitabh will be celebrated by a film festival, which the Film Heritage Foundation announced on Friday. As part of the festival, films starring the megastar will be shown in 17 cities across the nation. In collaboration with the top multiplex operator PVR Cinemas, the non-profit organisation formed by director and archivist Shivendra Singh Dungarpur has collected a collection of 11 popular movies, including Don, Kaala Patthar, and Kaalia.

Amitabh Bachchan’s most recent film appearance, alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, was in Brahmastra. Ayan Mukerji directed the movie. His upcoming role is in Vikas Bahl’s Goodbye, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Neena Gupta.
