Helmed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam 2 stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Rajat Kapoor. It is said to be a remake of the 2021 Malayalam film of the same name and sequel to Drishyam. The mystery film is slated to release on November 18, 2022.
Drishyam was directed by Nishikant Kamat in 2015, but after his death in August 2020, Pathak took it for its sequel. Its shooting wrapped on June 21, 2022, in Hyderabad. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Krishan Kumar, the film will be distributed by Panorama studios.
Apart from October 2 being celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti Day and anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri, it has also been called as ‘Drishyam Day’ after the release of Drishyam since 2015.
A few days ago, the team posted a recall teaser. Now, its trailer will be launched in mid October and the event will be held in Goa. “The trailer of Drishyam 2 is expected to be out mid-October, around October 15 or 16. Interestingly, the launch event will be held in Goa. The beach state played a very important role in part 1 as well as in Drishyam 2. Hence, the team of the film felt that launching the trailer of Drishyam 2 will give a nice touch,” Bollywood Hungama quoted its source as saying.
Ajay posted a cryptic today earlier today. He stated, “Main apne ghar ka address bhool sakta hoon lekin 2 aur 3 Oct ki kahani nahi.”

“The film’s actors – Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav – will be in attendance at the Goa event along with director Abhishek Pathak and the producers of the film,” the source stated.
“There’s a lot of positivity for Drishyam 2. The prequel was a commercial success and critically acclaimed. The makers are confident that the sequel will also work big time. Hence, they want to go all out and that’s where they thought of the idea to launch the promo in Goa,” the source added.
