The ongoing controversy regarding Bollywood’s Singham i.e. Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra starrer ‘Thank God’ is not taking a halt. Not only this, the difficulties for the film are increasing day by day. Meanwhile, bad news has come out for the makers of the film.
According to the information received, the Kuwait Censor Board has banned Thank God. You will be surprised to know that this is the only film which has been banned in the country. All other films have been flagged off. In which the names of many films including Dulquer Salmaan, Sunny Deol and Shreya Dhanwantri starrer film Chup are included. Not only this, after the ban in Kuwait, the controversy about the film continues in Karnataka as well. At the same time, there is a demand to stop the film.
Mohan Gowda, spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti said, “The actors in the film’s trailer were seen making fun of Hindu gods. We will never tolerate mockery of Chitragupta and Lord Yama of Hinduism in the name of freedom of expression. Was the censor board sleeping till the release of this trailer?’ Let us tell you – this committee has demanded that the censor board should not give certification to the film.
Let us tell you that the trailer of the film was released on September 9. The trailer was also well received. In the trailer of the film, Chitragupta was shown laughing and joking in a modern avatar. A lawyer from Uttar Pradesh has filed a petition seeking registration of a complaint for mocking and misrepresenting Chitragupta in the film. The lawyer has accused the makers of the film of hurting religious sentiments.
