Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor starrer Lal Singh Chaddha released on August 11, 2022. Helmed by Advait Chandan, the film is written by Atul Kulkarni with an adaptation from a 1994 made Hollywood film named Forrest Gump into the context based in India.
It was made on an estimated budget worth Rs 180 cr. The film comprises a debutant Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya, son of superstar Nagarjuna, who has played an army officer named Balaraju Bodi.
The popular OTT (Over-The-Top) platform Netflix released the film at midnight. “Keep your golgappas ready because Laal Singh Chaddha is NOW STREAMING,” stated Netflix.
Earlier, Aamir had said that it would take the film 6 months to release on OTT. When released, many made joke that it’s been months since the release in theatres, whereas some showed excitement to watch it.
Its soundtrack was praised by viewers, with lovely songs like Phir Na Aisi Raat Aayegi, Kahani, Tur Kalleyan. However, it faced a boycott trend and resulted in the failure at Box-Office.
