Aamir Khan Tributes PM Narendra Modi And Encourages ‘Swacch Bharat’ Campaign In His Latest Film Laal Singh Chaddha

Aamir Khan’s most-awaited film Laal Singh Chaddha has finally been released in the cinemas on 11th August. It is the remake of 1994 Hollywood classic, Forrest Gump. The original film showedsome important events of American history and also mentioned some prominent presidents of the USA. In its Bollywood remake, Aamir Khan has done the same with the Indian Prime Ministers.

A scene is there in the film when the lead actor starts running across the ghats of Varanasi. Just behind him, on the wall, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’spicture is shown along with the slogan, ‘Ab Ki Baar, Modi Sarkar’. This slogan was used in the 2014 LokSabha Elections by Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) to create a hype of Modi around the citizens and it had actually spread like a fire. Narendra Modi literally won the election in that year and became the Prime Minister of India.

PM Modi after coming in the ruling power initiated the ‘Swacch Bharat’ campaign to inform and persuade citizens about cleanliness of the country. This campaign too gets highlighted in a scene when Laal Singh Chaddha gets down at Chandigarh station in the second half of the film, the camera moves towards an advertisement on the railway stationwhich indicates the ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyan’.
