Highest Opening Gross for a Hindi film in the United Kingdom in 2022 is Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan Starrer Laal Singh Chaddha with an estimation of £90,000. Even though the film didn’t perform well in the Indian cinemas because of the boycott trends running against it on social media by the Hindu communities, it is breaking records in the foreign countries like United Kingdom, United States of America, and Canada.
Laal Singh Chaddha crosses the $2.5M mark at the US and Canada box office on Friday with an increase of over 50% in ticket sales from Thursday. If this trend continues over the weekend, the film will hit the $3M mark on Sunday.
Laal Singh Chaddha is rated at top for making a grand opening in the UK cinemas and is expected to cross Alia Bhatt starrer Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s #GangubaiKathiawadi’s lifetime gross this weekend and emerge as the highest grossing Hindi film since the pandemic with a total gross of £705,000. The film still needs massive support of the audience and strong upward trend to reach the £1M mark and beat #KGFChapter2 gross.
