15% Reduction In Shows of Laal Singh Chaddha And Rakshabandhan By Exhibitors Due To Poor Response From The Audience

Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha and AkshayKumar starrer Rakshabandhan’s multiplex shows has been reduced upto 1300 and 1000 respectively by the exhibitors voluntarily. The reason behind this has been the very low or no presence of the audience in the cinemas.

The average number of viewers in maximum of the shows has been 10-12 people. This is quite dreadfulfor the B-town as the actors with such a big fame like Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar aren’t getting any positive response from the audience.

The two films collectively couldn’t able to make an opening of Rs. 20 Crores at the Box Office, which is quite low than the mediocre standard, even though both the films were released on 11th August which was a public holiday in the occasion of Rakshabandhan.

Both the films were released with approx. 10,000 shows across the country and neither of them justified this kind of screening of the shows. Seeing the very low or no-show of the viewers, the exhibitors decided to decline the screening of both the films on the very next day to save up on the overheads and rise the occupancy in the limited shows.

In spite of the voluntary show depletion, many shows of both the films were cancelled on Friday morning due to no audience. It’s a devastating scenario on the ground.
